Faculty and staff parking decals – purchase Aug. 12-Sept. 3
Faculty and staff parking decals will be available for pick-up Monday, August 12. Decals may be purchased through financial services or payroll deduction forms that are available at the Department of Public Safety. Reserved parking must be renewed by September 3, 2013. All spaces that are not renewed will be reissued on a first come, first serve basis.

Southern Heritage Classic tickets on sale
Tickets for the 2013 Southern Heritage Classic, featuring the Jackson State Tigers and the Tennessee State Tigers, are now on sale. Purchase at the JSU Athletics Ticket Office in the Lee E. The Southern Heritage Classic will take place Saturday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

Transfer Students: Transfer Success Mentor Program- Deadline July 31
The Transfer Success Mentor (TSM) is an undergraduate community college transfer student who leads a group of 3-5  new transfer students throughout their first semester at JSU. The Transfer Success Mentor relationship runs from orientation weekend through the fall semester. The TSM Program aims to ease the transfer process so that new transfers may succeed personally, socially and academically. The program also helps each new transfer students connect with other peers, and ultimately, the institution as a whole. Transfer Success Mentors are compensated with a t-shirt, a small stipend, and the satisfaction of serving their JSU community while engaging in extensive leadership training.

Jackson State University is deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Regine R. Williams, accountant in the Business Office, Department of Finance, on July 22.  Funeral services will be held at noon on July 27 at Mt. Galilee Baptist Church, 300 Julienne St., Jackson, MS 39201. Burial will follow at Autumn Woods Park, 4000 Northside Dr., Jackson, MS 39209.  Family hour will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 922 W. Woodrow Wilson Ave., Jackson, MS 39213.
